(Captive turns to be the Queen to carryout God’s Plan)
Sequence of Events
- God equips Esther- “the captive girl”
- At the right time, God positions Esther (to be the Queen) for His purpose
- Esther’s obedience to the call to risk her life
- The Plot Twist
- God gets His glory
I have jotted down with cross reference to add more essence to the story:
1: God uses a slave girl Esther for redemption of His people.
Esther is such beautiful book where the word God is not mentioned. But the director of the whole story is God alone for redemption of His people. This book we can relate it to our times now, as we are so much influenced and ruled by Pagan World. Let’s watch and see God’s hand of deliverance in our country.
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14 NIV
2: Taking risk with God’s Wisdom for Kingdom Purpose
“Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”
Esther 4:16 NIV
Reflection from this Passage:
Taking risk for His kingdom purpose should be part of our lifestyle. In this world definitely we would have temporal problems. But as the words says, trust on God and walk on the waters which are unknown, by having the assurance that the one who created you is watching over you.
Be ready, even at the point of risking your life for His Name sake…Cause even death can’t separate you from your father.. and the next moment after your physical death, you would be dwelling with the father. So be Happy!
3: God’s plan are the best and we cannot comprehend with our human brain.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28 NIV
Few Reflections from this passage:
God knows the BLUEPRINT of our life. So whatever the enemy meant for evil, God turns it for good. Our life is like a Jigsaw puzzle! Today we might see the events like the small pieces, but when God connects it to form the BIG PICTURE you would understand the reasons and the seasons behind each piece. Never underestimate your today, when compared to ur destiny ????.
Today’s Testing is Tomorrow’s Testimony ????.
4: Plot against Jews, gets backfired:
“Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said, “A pole reaching to a height of fifty cubits stands by Haman’s house. He had it set up for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king.” The king said, “Impale him on it!””
Esther 7:9 NIV
Today, you might be suffering for an unjust cause or because of the schemes of the evil one. But, God will vindicate your case as an advocate and the verdict will change.
“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 NIV
Reflection from this Reading Passage:
Though we might feel the waiting for the change in situations of our lives or circumstances around us seems hopeless. Just trust and have hope on God, cause God has the final say over your life or situation. One word from God can change destinies. During, your waiting period God is making you ready to receive the blessing and when God is ready to Bless u, there is no delay! ????
So don’t Give up! ????
5: Our ways are not God’s ways.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”
Proverbs 16:3 NIV
Reflection from this passage:
We may have a lot of plans regarding our future or even we might have few promises received by God concerning our destiny. If you have taken the commitment and stepped into getting prepared towards your destiny, Never give up in the middle and be like a half baked cake. We might encounter storms or troubled water moments, but don’t Quit!
When we surrender all our plans and works in God’s hand, He will guide you beautifully and order your steps towards your destiny.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”
Proverbs 3:5 NIV
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:”
Psalms 37:5 NIV
6: God’s sovereign Plan for such a time as this
Esther 2:17 – 18 NIV
“Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins. So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. And the king gave a great banquet, Esther’s banquet, for all his nobles and officials. He proclaimed a holiday throughout the provinces and distributed gifts with royal liberality.”
God’s timing is perfect!!! ????
- Esther finds Grace and Favour in sight of the king due to the presence of God.
- King puts a royal crown on Esther and makes her as a Queen by honour and has a great banquet.
- Plot against God’s people
- The Redemption Plan been carried out
- Esther finds favour in sight of God and Man
- God’s People gets redeemed from the wicked plans
- Though the word “God” is not mentioned in this book, He was the author and the finisher of their faith.
