PRAYER TO BE A WISE WOMAN

Day 1:

PRAYER TO BE SHAPED BY GOD:

Proverbs:18:22- “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.”

Heavenly Father, today as this verse says, that finding a good wife is like searching for treasure. So help me Lord to be shaped and moulded by you according to your will and purpose. So that, I can become like the good wife whom my future husband wanted for your divine plans to be fulfilled.

Day 2:

PRAYER TO BE A WISE WOMAN

Prov: 14:1 “The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.”

Heavenly Father, today as the verse says, prepare myself to be that wise woman who builds her house with your divine instructions. Father give me the godly wisdom to build my house with my future husband according to the household order for your purpose to be fulfilled in our lives.

Day:3

PRAYER FOR A NOBLE CHARACTER

Proverbs: 31:10- “A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.”

Heavenly Father, You are the potter and we are the clay. Break us, mold us and shape us accordingly to your will, so that we can be worth far more than rubies. Give us the strength to endure during the process to become a woman with noble characters to my future husband.

Day:4

PRAYER TO SET THE RIGHT PRIORITIES

Proverbs: 31:30- “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”

Heavenly Father, help me to have you as my first priory in life and as the word says “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge”. Father, guide me not to have any other fear other than you and mold me to be beautiful inside out.

Day:5

PRAYER TO HAVE WORK LIFE BALANCE

“Proverbs 31:13–15

13- She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.

14- She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.

15- She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family

and portions for her female servants.”

Heavenly Father, as this verse says give me the strength to balance work and life. Help me to be wise and enterprising at work and build my house according to your household order.

Day:6

PRAYER FOR EXCELLENCE:

“Proverbs 31:16–18

16 -She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

17 -She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.

18 -She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.”

Heavenly Father, please give me the entrepreneurial skills and wisdom to manage financial matters. Help me to be faithful and profitable in every work that you have entrusted me with. God help me to show excellence in every area of my life.

Day:7

PRAYER TO HAVE GOOD SPEECH:

Proverbs: 31:26 “When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness”.

Heavenly Father, give me the wisdom to speak gracefully and boldly. Let my words be seasoned with salt, while I speak to others. As the words says “death and life are in the power of the tongue”. Father, Please use my speech to build people up and not to break their spirit.

Day:8

PRAYER TO HAVE GOOD VIRTUES:

Proverbs 31:11–12 “Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all days of her life.”

Heavenly Father, as the word states that ‘*Marriage* is like the relationship between Christ and his church by showing your sacrificial love, being devoted, holy, serving and loving each other’. Same way, help me to exhibit the virtues that pleases you and to glorify your name. Father, guide me to gain the trust of my future husband irrespective of any situation and help me to win his heart by showing your love which is unconditional.

Day:9

PRAY TO BE A WOMAN OF BLESSING:

“Proverbs: 31: 28–28

28-Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her:

29-There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!”

Heavenly Father,

Lord, with you I can achieve anything. Help me to be your witness, to show your love everywhere and to be a living sacrifice and a pleasing aroma unto you. Thank you for all your promises over my life. Prepare me to to be the bride you wanted me to be.

Day:10

PRAYER TO BE A WOMAN OF VALOUR:

Proverbs 31:20–21 “She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes.”

Heavenly Father, make me generous to help the poor and stretch out my hands to the needy. Lord! help me not to fear any tribulations, but to trust in you as I’m assured that, the household is protected by dual garment of your righteous and grace (i.e., warm clothes- mentioned in the verse).

Day:11

PRAYER FOR STRENGTH:

Proverbs: 31:25- “She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.”

Heavenly Father, please wrap around by your strength and dignity to be a bold witness of yours and to showcase your love to my family members and to the people in my sphere of influence.

Day:12

PRAYER TO BE A GOOD STEWARD:

Proverbs: 31:27–29 “She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness.”

Heavenly Father, give me the strength to handle everything that you have entrusted in my hands. Lord, teach me to be faithful to use all the gifts and talents to build the home to glorify your name. Let Laziness be far from me. Father, help me to eat the fruit of my work.

Amen????.

We as a woman, sometimes compare ourselves with other woman or have a set of standards. But I would recommend the below attributes as the best practice to reflect on to be a good wife.

Attributes of Proverbs- 31 Woman:

*V-10: Virtues *: To possess characteristics that are Precious and worthwhile.

*V-11: Faithfulness* : Speaks truth and earns trust.

*V-12: Goodness* : To be good, loving and cherish the family

*V-13: Hardworking*: To work hard and to be away from laziness.

*V- 14: Provider*: To provide & take care the needs of the family

*V-15: Early Riser*: To wake up early and to seek God first.

*V-16: Business Savvy*: To manage work & life

*V-17: Strength*: To be strong Mentally, Physically and Spiritually.

*V- I8: Endurance* : Need to endure during hard times.

*V-19: All Rounder*: Cross Skilling and multitasking

*V-20: Charitable*: Help the poor, love our neighbor, welcoming without judging others

*V-21: Provide and Trust*: Provides for the family & Trust in God’s plan.

*V-22: Well-dressed*: Dress well with dignity, but not consumed by our looks alone.

*V-23: Wife to a good husband*: To be a helpmate to the one, whom God will send you.

*V-24: Earn a living wage*: Working faithfully in our house and our jobs.

*V-25: Honorable*: To be strong. honourable and to carry ourselves as graceful woman.

*V-26: Wise*: We should think before, we could speak.

*V-27: Active*: Laziness is not an option, work as for the Lord.

*V-28: Praise worthy*: We are promised thanks and praise for all the good works.

*V-29: Excellence*: We will succeed and excel.

*V-30: God fearing*: We are called to fear the Lord and live in a way that honours God.

*V-31: Rewarded*: God promised to recognize our faithfulness and hard work.
