SINGLES PRAYERS
I’m single and I just used to pray to God this single line that ‘Lord, my marriage should happen’, during my prayer times, or, sometimes even I have thought God knows it all and I have I have simply been quiet also.
But as the scripture says in Mathew:7:7-8,
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
We pray for all of our needs, including school exams, college semesters, job interviews, and all of our other needs that last for seasons. But I never knew that when we are single, we should pray for our future partner. I was under the impression that everything would fall into place in due time, and I would meet the proper person. However, God later revealed to me that we must pray for our future companion, with whom we would spend the rest of our lives. This aids us in spiritual growth and discernment of the right one created for each one of us.
This opened my heart to journal these prayer points and I was surprised to know that we need to pray for so many aspects.
